Get Paid to Sleep

Imagine earning money simply by sleeping! Sounds like a dream, right? Well, an Indian company is making that dream a reality by offering an opportunity to do just that.

Wakefit, a Mumbai-based sleep solutions company, is on the hunt for “professional sleepers” and is offering a staggering salary of 1 million INR for what is possibly the easiest and most unique job you’ll ever hear about.

Wakefit’s latest initiative introduces a two-month sleep internship, where participants are paid for doing nothing but getting a good night’s sleep – 8 to 9 hours, to be exact. In addition to this, they’ll be required to squeeze in a quick 20-minute nap during the day. The best part? No grueling tasks, no long hours, just rest.

To ensure the program’s success, the company has collaborated with sleep specialists who will guide interns through workshops, making sure they get the most out of their sleep journey. This innovative internship is gaining traction on social media, with many dubbing it the ultimate “dream job.”

Wakefit is even sweetening the deal by providing a complimentary high-quality mattress to the interns, delivered to their doorstep, ensuring they can perform at their very best – or should we say, sleep at their very best?

The eligibility criteria for this dream job are as quirky as the offer itself. Applicants must be 22 years or older and have at least a bachelor’s degree in any field. But there’s a catch – while no academic PhDs are required, candidates should be “PhD-level experts” at sleeping. Wakefit also expects its interns to maintain a consistent bedtime routine and be able to avoid phone calls and social media while asleep.

The base salary for this unique role starts at 100,000 INR, but those who excel as sleep interns may be promoted to “Sleep Champions,” earning the full 1 million INR by the end of the program.

So, if you’ve ever been told you’re too good at sleeping, this might just be the perfect job for you.
