Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled its latest T20 rankings, showcasing some notable changes.
England’s all-rounder, Liam Livingstone, has soared to the top spot in the all-rounder rankings following an outstanding performance against Australia. Livingstone’s remarkable showing has catapulted him seven places up the ladder, securing him the number one position among all-rounders. In addition, he has also made significant progress in the batting rankings, climbing 17 positions to reach 33rd place.
As a result of Livingstone’s rise, Australia’s Marcus Stoinis has slipped from the top rank to the second position among all-rounders. Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan have each fallen one position, now standing third and fourth, respectively. Pakistan’s Imad Wasim continues to be a notable presence, remaining among the top ten all-rounders.
In the batting rankings, Australia’s Travis Head retains the number one spot, while India’s Suryakumar Yadav holds the second position. England’s Phil Salt has moved up to third place.
Furthermore, Jos Inglis has made a significant leap, advancing 13 places to secure a spot in the top ten of the batting rankings. Pakistani stars Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan also feature prominently, with Azam occupying the fifth position and Rizwan securing the sixth spot.
This latest ranking update highlights the dynamic nature of T20 cricket and the rise of new stars in the game.
