Islamabad: Pakistan Advances 14 Positions in UN E-Government Index.
Pakistan has made significant progress in the UN E-Government Index, improving by 14 positions to reach 136th place in e-governance.
The United Nations has published its latest e-governance rankings, marking Pakistan’s entry into a higher category for the first time. The country has moved up 14 spots to achieve 136th place.
According to the documents, Pakistan’s e-governance index was at 150 two years ago in 2022.
The documents also reveal that Pakistan has climbed to 88th place in the UN E-Participation Index, up from 106th place two years earlier.
Additionally, Pakistan’s E-Participation Value has risen from 0.36 to 0.49.
Minister of State for Information Technology Shiza Fatima commended the 14-position improvement in e-government rankings and expressed gratitude for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s support for e-governance initiatives.
Shiza Fatima also highlighted the commendable efforts of the Ministry of IT and the National IT Board in advancing e-governance.
