Islamabad: As the winter season approaches, the government has implemented a notable increase in LPG prices, placing additional financial pressure on citizens. According to the latest notification from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of LPG has surged by 7.31 rupees per kilogram.

Previously, the cost of LPG stood at 243.99 rupees per kilogram, but with this recent increase, it has now reached 251.30 rupees. Similarly, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder has risen by 86 rupees, now costing 2,965.38 rupees, compared to 2,879.10 rupees in September.

The updated LPG prices have been established for the month of October, and this increase further burdens households as colder weather draws near.

This price hike comes at a time when the oil and gas industry in Pakistan is facing significant challenges. Major players like Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd., MOL Oil and Gas Pakistan, and other oil and gas companies in Pakistan are navigating fluctuating prices amidst rising demand. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority Pakistan (OGRA) continues to oversee these developments, with the oil and gas sector in Pakistan being a critical driver of the national economy.

For those seeking jobs in the oil and gas industry in Pakistan, the current climate presents both opportunities and challenges. As the demand for energy surges, oil and gas exploration in Pakistan is ramping up, and companies are actively recruiting talent to meet operational demands. Moreover, entities like Oil and Gas Development Company Limited Pakistan are playing a crucial role in driving forward the country’s oil and gas production.

However, with these price hikes, the public remains concerned about the impact on household budgets, especially as winter approaches and the demand for LPG increases.
